    Kid’s Bedrooms Change with Age

Kids bedrooms are always changing. Kids grow up, and in only a few years their rooms go from a nursery with a crib, to a toddler room with a toddler-sized bed, to a room for a young kid. And that’s only in the first five years of your child’s life. Once they hit their pre-teen and teenage years, kids generally start having pretty strong opinions on how they’d like their rooms to look. After all, it’s an expression of their identity, and it’s the only room in the house they really have much control over. (I know that when I was a teenager, I had a very specific vision for my room, and put a lot of thought into executing it!)

The challenge is how to keep up with all the changes! Besides the furniture changes, there’s also the matter of changing decor and color scheme—the cute pastel color palette that looked so cute in the nursery won’t necessarily going to be the most appealing once your child hits age 12 or 13. But keeping up with all those phases and taste changes can be difficult and time-consuming, not to mention expensive.

Here’s how Walls Need Love’s removable wallpaper solves that problem or at least makes it a lot more manageable. First, since it’s affordable, easy to install, and (of course) removable, it allows you to change up your child’s room decor on a regular basis, without all the hassle of repainting or dealing with actual wallpaper. Second, it comes in stylish, appealing patterns that are anything but tacky. Its most colorful patterns would be particularly suited to bedrooms in all stages of life. That means you won’t have to replace it every few years to keep up with your child’s changing style.

And we’ve got a perfect example. Abby Smith blogs at Twist Me Pretty, and recently made a post about adding a bright floral wall to her daughter’s room using Walls Need Love’s Lemma Removable Wallpaper. She described the whole process in detail, with tips on how to apply the wallpaper perfectly. Her advice is super helpful and the post is definitely worth a read.

    The inspiration

This is what Abby has to say about her inspiration for the room update: “My six-year-old daughter, Savy, inspired this project. She has the brightest personality in all the land and when I saw this bold floral, I knew I had to have it for her room!!”

Usually making a huge change to a room means hours or even days of work, plus lots of money spent. But as transformative as adding this beautiful wall was, it was by no means difficult, and it was completely affordable. For instance, there’s no need to buy any supplies beyond the wallpaper itself.

As Abby puts it in her blog post: “The wallpaper is so forgiving and it’s so easy to put up. Give yourself a strip or two to get into a good groove and before you know it you’ll stand back and a beautiful, super girlie floral wall will be in front of you and all your childhood dreams will come true!!!”

Definitely check out Abby Smith’s post! It’ll help you get a sense of what it’s really like to use WNL’s removable wallpaper.
